Kia entered the Canadian market in the year 2000, with two products to offer the Kia Sephia, and Kia Sportage. Upon entry to Canada in 2000 Scott KIA was signed up as Red Deer only Kia dealer early that same year. Just like Kia Motors, Scott KIA has grown tremendously over the last 8 years. In 2004 the building that Scott KIA Currently resides in was completed, and within the next couple months Scott KIA will be moving into a larger building located only 1 block north of their current spot.

The word KIA is derived from the Sino- Korean word ki which means to come out and the Sino- Korean word a which stands for Asia. So KIA is roughly translated to mean “coming out of Asia”.
